The Webber dock in Bucksport is the only terminal currently receiving liquid bulk products on the Penobscot River. The dock can accommodate vessels up to 700’ length, 106’ beam and a maximum draft of 35’ (brackish) for docking at high water. All vessels generally dock within one hour of high or low water slack. For vessels berthing at low water slack, the maximum draft is 28’ (based on a 0’ tide). The tide range in Bucksport is 11’. There are two bridges over the Penobscot River below Bucksport and the vertical clearance of the lower bridge is 135’.

Vessels over 10,000 tons are restricted to daylight transits of the river to Bucksport. These are the dates for the winter of 2008 that no high water falls within daylight hours and vessels would be restricted to transiting at low water or wait until high water falls within daylight hours.
